Details: The Guest Stars were a short lived Seattle, WA band during 2002-2003. Originally a demo created by Trish Scearce and Sean Kelly (former guitar player for Poe). Musicians were added after recording to help play the material live and round out the band.

Originally The Becoming You EP was self released by the group and used homemade products to fill short supplies on sites such as CD Baby. The EP featured 5 tracks and different running order. We have added a sixth song from the sessions, gave it a soft master and returned the EP to an earlier song running order which is why we’re calling it Becoming You EP Plus

Details: Music made on early video game consoles using modern cartirdges. More than just beeping and 8 bit squaking sounds. Songs have intros, verses, choruses, bridges and are as complicated (or simple) as today’s pop hits. Tools used are an Atari 2600 running Synth Cart, a commodore 64 running Music Machine (ca 1984 cartridge) and a Commodore 128 running Prophet64.

Details: In 1994, an alternative rock band formed in Jacksonville, FL called The Rayburns and comprised of Rayburn Edwards, Ben Khinel, Tim Snyder and Sean Bartley. The group recorded an EP worth of songs in 1996, simply titled The Rayburns.

Prior to recording their first full length Floating on the Bottom, the group renamed themselves King of Spain. In between the recording of Floating on the Bottom and their follow up, called Normalized, the band recorded the stop-gap EP The Universal Look-out Rock.

B-Catalog is proud to offer in one package, the original Rayburns EP as well the The Universal Look-out Rock. Both out of print for several years.

Details: QueenBee Jackson is another stellar band brought to us by husband and wife duo Hilary Spray and Aaron Z Santigian. The band performed for many years on the Portland music scene drawing steady crowds and winning much acclaim from the arm chair critics of the Portland weeklies. Spray fronts the band and was known for mesmerizing audiences with her stage presence, vocals and fashion.

This re-release comprises of the bands first two (and only) releases: Lovers Leave EP and Delicate Creatures EP. Delicate Creatures (tracks 1-6) is probably the better of the two and makes you a QBJ fan after the first couple tracks. The recording is rougher but really gets cooking in spots and slams some audio ham. We gave it the soft master and cleaned some studio noise. Lovers Leave (tracks 7-10) is more polished sounding and if you’re a fan of the first EP, you will fall down and worship at the altar upon hearing this one.
